Ask yourself these questions?
Is your work area free of debris? Do you wipe your table down after each client? Do you clear your floor of debris on a regular basis throughout the day?
Do you have a seperate area to wash and sanitise implements and files? Are your files reusable?
Do you sanitise your clients and your hands before a service?
Do you keep your clean and dirty implements and files seperate?
Do you regularly do salon house keeping? Do you clean your shelves, bottles, drawers?
Do you have a first aid kit available?
If you answer yes to these your salon is clean and safe for service?
If you answer no to any of these questions, relook at how you are maintaining your salon. Are your actions putting yourself or your clients at risk?
I personally clean my area after each client. I wipe my table with an antiseptic spray and sweep up or hand vac my floor, depending on what debris is around. I also ensure my shelves and products displayed stay free of dust or product spillage.
Salon cleanliness, is of the upmost importance when servicing clients. If by chance you nip a client and the debris gets trapped in the cut, they could be susceptible to infection. You are liable by law if this happens.
Keep your salon a safe salon.
